Max Chernoff and Adam Heilbrunn

Saxon Scope: How is your committee contributing to Case Day as a whole? What are your responsibilities?
Max Chernoff: We are contributing to Case Day as a whole by making sure all the committees have an ample cash-reserve should they need to make purchases.

SS: What have you done for finance committee so far in preparation for Case Day?
MC: So far in preparation for Case Day I personally have drafted the fundraising letter sent home to all AP Gov students. I have also given that letter to my committee members so they can send it out to all prospective donors, etc.
Adam Heilbrunn: I'm the bookkeeper for the finance committee. I handle all the funds and distribute the funds to the committees that need money for case day, such as the food and decorations committees. I give out PO forms, which are what committee chairs use to write down what they need for Case Day, how much they need, and how much the products cost. Then they give them back to me, I get them approved by Mrs. Cohen, and hand them into the finance office. The committees get the checks with their money a few days later. You could say I'm the bank for Case Day.

SS: What excites you most about Case Day this year?
MC: I'm most excited the verdict of the case, I'm really not sure which way it'll go because the arguments for both sides are really controversially correct.

SS: What is your personal opinion on the Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council case?
MC: My personal opinion is that Arizona will win because the law that ITC claims Arizona is violating is in itself an unconstitutional law.
AH: I've done a bit of research on the case of Arizona v. The Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, trying to understand a bit more on the case, but to be honest I don't understand too much about it.
